For the past few weeks we've learnt the elements of musics, exposed to the many different kinds of instruments, history of music and musicians, music expressions and applications in films and movies, the relationship between music and the society and business/commerce. Tutorials were held in very cold lecture theatres where we'll study music and watch musical performances on the screen. There was once we were to describe the different genres of music in our own perspective. There were a couple of musicians/singers/band in class so we have to becareful not to say things like Mandopop is cheena or Jazz is very hypnotizing, because a rocker sort of shot us an angry look when we described Rock as 'noisy'. HAHA
It was overall an inspiring experience as we learnt a lot from the elective. Below is something interesting that I think many don't know.
↑ Music sales have been declining ever since the introduction of new strategies of attaining music: digital downloads, mobile contents, iTunes, etc..
↑The typical record deal is not that great. The artist is earning much lesser than you think.
↑Artists earn even lesser from an album sold on iTunes from a CD.
Still, the best way to support our idols or favourite artists is to buy the original album.
Love music, buy original. Stop burning.

Have been busy with GHOMGT and AISYS2 assignments for the past few weeks, missed SITEX and Anime Fest for the libraries. It has been school, school and just school. But it's fun with AMS peeps around, where we'll gamble in between long breaks or play sports, and the occasional chill-outs after school. And term tests are round the corner. Christmas is near.
Anyway, WOOOO, for the news uninitiated,
our home-grown cabin crew peeps were on the news on 3rd Dec. =D

It's nice to see Jel爸, Hoon大妈 and friends up there. See even Jyun is also smiling happily in there. HAHA. These cabin crew peeps will take to the skies as full-time cabin crew for their internship. How cool.
The rest of us are now concentrating on raising (or maintaining) our GPAs as it has become one of the criteria to vie for internships.
Time to study for term tests, gotta raise my unpardonably low GPA this sem. I hope.
PS. THE ONE I mentioned in my previous post wasn't referring to any human being lah. (Not animals also). It's not even a living thing to be exact. Thanks for the concerns. HAHAHA
